But there is, that's the whole point! In the slides I explain how I generate wrappers to hide all the boring COM stuff and just write simple code. I assure you, the code above works and is using COM.
This is amazing... it looks like COM is easier in D than it is in C#. The last time I used COM, I had to use C++, and it was not a pleasant experience.

btw, I'm not a fan of C++ as well so I was working with D.
Hi, are you still using D, wrapping COM?
Have you look at WinRT? Have you though of making D a first class WinRT user? Just looking for a native programming language which is nicer and compile faster than C++! |
